Every person and family I work with is different, but most are stuck in a pattern that's running the show. Here's how I help, and what we'll actually do together.
Approaches I use: Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) · Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for BDD · Habit Reversal Training · Cognitive Processing Therapy · Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) · Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) · Gottman Method · New Ways for Families
Anxious brains & big feelings
OCD
Sound familiar?
- Intrusive thoughts that feel urgent, disturbing or “not like me”
- Checking, reassurance-seeking, mental reviewing or counting
- Knowing it doesn’t fully make sense, and still feeling like you have to
How we’ll work on it
We’ll use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold-standard treatment for OCD. Together we’ll map out your cycle, including the sneaky mental compulsions, then practice facing the fear at a pace that’s challenging but doable, without the compulsion. Over time, your brain learns it can handle uncertainty.
Trained through NOCDBody Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD)
Sound familiar?
- Hours lost to the mirror, or avoiding mirrors altogether
- Comparing, camouflaging, or asking others how you look
- Skipping plans because of how you think you look
How we’ll work on it
BDD responds best to a form of cognitive behavioral therapy designed specifically for it. We’ll work on loosening the grip of appearance-focused thoughts, reducing checking and camouflaging, and gently rebuilding the parts of life BDD has taken over.
Trained through Massachusetts General HospitalAnxiety disorders
Sound familiar?
- Panic attacks, constant worry or “what if” spirals
- Health anxiety, social anxiety or phobias
- Avoiding things that used to feel easy
How we’ll work on it
We’ll use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to help you understand how anxiety works, stop feeding it with avoidance, and gradually face what you fear, whether that’s panic, worry or a specific phobia. Step by step, you build real confidence that you can handle discomfort.
Trained through NOCDTic disorders & BFRBs
Sound familiar?
- Motor or vocal tics that feel hard to control
- Skin picking, hair pulling, nail biting or cheek biting
- Shame or secrecy about behaviors you wish you could stop
How we’ll work on it
We’ll use Habit Reversal Training (HRT), an evidence-based behavioral treatment for tics and BFRBs. Together we’ll figure out what triggers the urge, learn to notice the early warning signs, and practice a competing response that makes the behavior easier to resist. This is judgment-free work, and progress is absolutely possible.
Trained through NOCDTrauma & first responders
Trauma, PTSD & first responders
Sound familiar?
- Replaying calls, scenes or memories you can’t shake
- Feeling on edge, numb, or irritable at home
- Holding it together on shift and falling apart after
How we’ll work on it
I use Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), a structured, evidence-based treatment for PTSD. We’ll look at the beliefs trauma left behind, such as blame, danger or “I should have done more,” and work through them so the memories hold less power. When emotions feel overwhelming, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) can also help you ride out intense moments and feel more in control. I understand the culture of dispatch, law enforcement, fire and EMS, and I’ll respect how you work.

Couples therapy
Sound familiar?
- The same argument on repeat, with a new topic every time
- Feeling more like roommates than partners
- Rebuilding after a breach of trust or a big life change
How we’ll work on it
I use the Gottman Method, which is grounded in decades of research on what makes relationships work. We’ll assess your strengths and friction points, then practice concrete skills for managing conflict, rebuilding connection and understanding each other better.
Gottman Method Levels 1 & 2Co-parenting & parenting coordination
Sound familiar?
- Every handoff or text feels like a battle
- Kids caught in the middle of adult conflict
- Court orders that are hard to put into practice
How we’ll work on it
I offer court-involved co-parenting therapy and parenting coordination for families at any stage of separation or divorce. We’ll focus on communication, problem-solving and keeping your kids out of the middle, with clear roles and structure from the very first session.

- Adjusting to divorce, a move or a new family structure
- OCD, anxiety, tics or BFRBs showing up in young people
How we’ll work on it
I meet kids and teens where they are, using age-appropriate tools and a warm, down-to-earth approach. Parents are part of the process, so you’ll know how to support progress at home.
Life transitions
Life transitions & individual therapy
Sound familiar?
- Divorce, loss, a new role or a big move
- Feeling stuck, unsure or not like yourself
- Wanting support, even if you can’t name exactly why
How we’ll work on it
Sometimes life changes faster than we can adjust. We’ll make space for what you’re carrying, clarify what matters to you, and build practical steps toward what’s next. Depending on what you need, we may use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for emotional regulation, communication and setting healthy boundaries, or Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) to quiet a harsh inner critic and learn to offer yourself the same kindness you’d give someone you love.
